Chelsea Open to Leroy Sane, Timo Werner Swap Deal with Bayern Munich

Chelsea have reportedly reached an agreement with Bayern Munich to swap German stars Leroy Sane and Timo Werner next summer.

Werner struggled in his first Premier League season in 2021. Before his move from Leipzig RB to Stamford Bridge, the transfer fee could be up to 57.6 million pounds.

The 25-year-old player scored just 6 goals in 35 Premier League games last season and now his ranking could drop further following the arrival of Inter Milan's Romelu Lukaku.

The Spanish news media Todofichajes reported, however, that Werner was "Bayern's big goal for next summer" because they want to give the team a new face.

The report goes on to claim that Chelsea are ready to use Werner as part of the required Sane transfer.

According to reports, two years after joining from Manchester City for a transfer fee of 72 million, coach Thomas Tuchel has set the Bayern winger as the next goal in the 2022 summer transfer window.

Like Werner, Sane was mixed with multiple injuries and unstable performance in his first season at his new club.

The winger played 32 times in the Bundesliga last season, only started 18 times, scored 6 goals and sent 9 assists.

Whether he is considered a key figure for the new coach Julian Nagelsman remains to be seen.
