Mason Mount has been ruled out of the Manchester City match by Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel.

Mason Mount will miss Chelsea's Premier League match against Manchester City at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, according to Thomas Tuchel.

Christian Pulisic is out again owing to an ankle injury, while Tuchel also said that Mount will miss the game due to a "small injury" he sustained against Aston Villa in the EFL Cup on Wednesday night.

The England international has been a key figure for the Blues this season, appearing in seven games across all competitions, including four Premier League appearances.

"Christian Pulisic is out, and it's too soon for Mason Mount." He suffered a slight injury in the game against Aston Villa. He took a significant step forward, but it wasn't enough," Tuchel told reporters.

"He's upset, and I didn't notice it throughout the game since it was the second half, and he played through the injury." He was confident in his ability to take a crucial penalty at the end of the game. As a result, it came as a shock.

The advances he's taking are enormous; perhaps it would have been conceivable if the game had been played a day later.

"So it's a minor injury, but it's disappointing for both him and us because he's a key player for us. But, regardless of his value or how much we rely on him, the objective is to find answers without him and return him as quickly as possible."

The 22-year-old might make his Champions League comeback against Juventus next week.
