Chelsea, Antonio Rudiger, on top of the Real Madrid list

Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger is said to be on the top of Real Madrid's transfer wishlist for 2022.

Los Blancos are rumored to be interested in signing Kylian Mbappe and Erling Braut Haaland during the upcoming summer transfer window, both of whom would eat into their pay cost significantly.

The Spanish giants, on the other hand, will be on the lookout for a new centre-back, with Rudiger, a potential free agent, a top priority.

Real are reportedly enticed by the financial component of the deal, with the Germany international's contract at Stamford Bridge set to be extended until the end of the season, according to Marca.

Real are also interested in bringing in another seasoned defender, this time a 28-year-old who is seen as a long-term alternative for Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane.

Before Rudiger can legally hold talks with international teams in January, Chelsea wants to agree on a new contract with him.
